Mainland film artists share insights to help CityU students understand film art and culture

A delegation from the 20th “Mainland China Outstanding Film Exhibition,” organized by the China Film Foundation, visited City University of Macau (CityU) at Taipa Campus yesterday. Led by vice chairman Jiang Tao, this year's film artist representatives engaged in an exchange on film art with faculty and students. The delegation included Xu Xiaochao, deputy department head at the National Film Administration; film director and editor Yu Baimei; actors Dai Lele and Duan Bowen; actor and singer Li Mao; film director Liu Yulin; and writer Zhang Haochen.

Kong Fanqing, vice chairwoman of the CityU Council, highlighted the importance of this exchange session in helping students understand Chinese film culture and promoting film art. This event provided a platform for students to engage in face-to-face communication with film artists, allowing them to gain new perspectives and ideas on film from the personal experiences of the film producers and actors. Students also had the opportunity to learn more about the current development and future prospects of the mainland film industry, further promoting their understanding of mainland film culture.
