On 22nd November 2013, Prof. Su-Seng Pang, Acting Rector of City University of Macau (CUM), and Dr Gavin Chau, Associate Dean of Faculty of Management of CUM, were warmly welcomed by the Vice Rector Lu Xin-Bo during their visit to Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics (ZUFE).
Located in Jangzhou, Zhejiang Province, ZUFE covers six branches of learning, namely Humanities, Science, Economics, Law, Management and Engineering. At present, there are about 24,000 full-time students at the University, including undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Vice Rector Lu introduced the development of ZUFE, such as talent development, programme development, and education internationalisation, etc., as well as explored the prospective cooperation opportunities between two institutions. Prof. Pang expressed his gratitude to Vice Rector Lu for his hospitality. During the meeting, two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote greater academic cooperation.
During their visit, Prof. Pang and Dr Chau also visited the Faculty of Business Administrative of ZUFE. Mr You Li-Qun, Dean of the Faculty introduced the Faculty’s teaching and management, as well as explored prospective cooperation in research projects and student exchange between two institutions. Moreover, Dr Chau warmly invited ZUFE to attend the annual Academy of International Business (AIB) Southeast Asia Regional Conference co-organised by AIB and CUM in Macau in 2014.
