Rector Shu Guang Zhang Visited Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and Signed Cooperation Agreement

In order to strengthen the exchange and cooperation with mainland higher education institutions, Rector Shu Guang Zhang, Mr. Chan Chon Pat, Secretary General of University Council, and Dr. Chau Ka Yin, Executive Associate Dean of Faculty of International Tourism and Management visited Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE). They were warmly welcomed by President Wang Qiao and Vice President Wang Xiaoping of JUFE. During the visit, both universities shared their development situation and had a discussion on deepening the future cooperation. Both sides had actively encouraged cooperation and fully prepared for this meeting. After the talk, representatives from CityU and JUFE signed a cooperation agreement in order to strengthen and deepen communication and expand areas of cooperation. Two universities reached preliminary consensus on many aspects, including enhancing student exchanges and scholar visits, conducting joint training of students, special admission quotas for recommended students, developing joint programs, carrying out joint academic research and study. It is hoped that the two universities maintain close ties in communication and actively conduct cooperation in the future. Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics is jointly governed and sponsored by the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education and the People’s Government of Jiangxi Province. It has been a comprehensive institution of higher learning with a focus on economics and management, and it also includes significant disciplines in languages, international education, humanity, law, engineering, natural science, agriculture, philosophy and history. Adhering to the university motto of “Fidelity, Excellence, Integrity, and Dedication”, JUFE has made great achievements in talent-cultivating, scientific research, community service and international exchanges, significantly contributing to the advancement of economy and society, both locally and nationally.
