As a flagship discipline at CityU, FOB offers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in Business Administration to develop students’ professional knowledge and industrial know-how through a diverse teaching curriculum that emphasizes both theory and practice. The Business Administration programs are interdisciplinary, nurturing top-notch managerial talents. - Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program offers four specializations: Marketing, Human Resource Management, Financial Management, and International Business, dedicated to cultivating practical talents with business acumen. The curriculum focuses on experiential learning, enhancing students’ practical and innovative skills through various teaching activities. Additionally, the International Business Cohort, taught in English, aims to cater to the pressing needs of business elites who can thrive in the context of international development. By combining industry trends and establishing close connections with businesses and institutions, FOB actively promotes industry-academia collaboration, providing students with diverse employment support and opportunities for further education.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) program offers four specializations: Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Management, Accounting and Financial Management, Human Resource Management, and International Business Management, aiming to cultivate professional talents in cutting-edge financial management and practices that meet the needs of social development. This program collaborates with senior managers from domestic and international banks, financial institutions, accounting firms, and financial companies to design a learning model that emphasizes both theory and practice, as well as diverse curriculum.
- Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program helps students develop strategic thinking through management know-how and applications in diverse cultural workplaces, cultivating high-level business management and research talents with an international perspective and leadership abilities. Through internships and research at the industry-academia-research base, students can understand business operation models and strategic planning through analysis and case studies. This program also collaborates with well-known universities and research institutions at home and abroad, providing academic exchange activities and project engagement opportunities. We also invite experts and scholars from around the world to serve as doctoral supervisors, providing high-quality academic and professional guidance.
A golden platform for students’ internships and employment
To broaden internship networks, FOB has established ties with well-known enterprises and leading organizations in Macao and mainland to provide students with a wide range of internship opportunities. To name a few: Tencent, Macao Startup Club, China Railway Construction and Electrification Bureau Group, China Mobile, People's Insurance Company of China, and Bank of China.
In addition, the faculty is actively building an alumni network and career center to draw closer ties with graduates. In hopes of helping the “graduate-to-be” to make their first step into the job market, FOB organizes alumni talks to share successful career stories and allows students to interact with their seniors, allowing them to receive more up-to-date and reliable information about employment and entrepreneurship.

Diversified academic exchange: Exchanges and collaborations under a global perspective
FOB is committed to providing students with abundant opportunities for international exchange. The faculty have established close partnerships with many renowned international universities. Through semester exchange programs and summer exchange programs, students can learn in different immersive cultural and academic environments, expand their international perspectives, and enhance their professional competence. For semester exchange, the faculty have collaborated with University of Grenada in Spain, Tunku Abdul Rahman University in Malaysia, Shenzhen University, Shanghai University, and East China Normal University. For summer exchange, FOB have partnerships with University of British Columbia, National University of Singapore, and University of Alberta, offering summer courses and exchange programs. The faculty members also actively participate in international exchanges, having visited several universities in Australia for learning and exchange.
Engagement in diverse competitions: Promoting learning, showcasing strength
The faculty encourages and supports students to actively participate in various domestic and international professional competitions. In recent years, students have achieved remarkable results in international competitions, national-level competitions, and in the Macao region, fully demonstrating the effectiveness of the faculty’s educational excellence. In global competitions, students have won outstanding awards at the Quest for Securities & Investment Elites (QSIE) Case Analysis Competition 2022 and third place in the CGMA Global Business Challenge 2023 – North Asia Final. In national-level competitions, students have won the gold award in the National “Internet+” Competition and eighth place in the business challenge organized by Golden Education and PricewaterhouseCoopers International Limited (PwC).
Passion for public welfare: Shouldering social responsibility to promote personal growth
FOB values social education and social welfare, leading students to give back to society through various volunteer activities. The faculty not only cares for the disadvantaged in society by visiting elderly living alone and nursing homes, bringing blessings and care to the seniors, but also pays attention to animal protection. FOB collaborates with associations to help students learn more about animal protection and caring knowledge. These practices not only enrich students’ social experiences but also teach them how to work with others and enhance their leadership and teamwork skills by understanding the diversity of society, presenting the educational philosophy of cultivating students with social responsibility and leadership for society.

I encountered various challenges on my entrepreneurial journey and realized the importance of breaking through bottlenecks. After consideration, I decided to return to the campus and learn more comprehensive business knowledge. With the continuous emergence of new technologies and business models, the power of knowledge is crucial. I applied what I’ve learned in class to my own company’s operations and management, which helped solve many challenges. Pursuing an MBA not only teaches me business management thinking but also broadens my horizons and allows me to network with more business partners, connecting more valuable resources.

I really admire the professionalism of the professors, who guide us to explore the unknown with their rich teaching experience and profound academic background. The most impressive experience for me was watching the original drama “Da Di Zhi Guang,” which cultivated our sense of patriotism.
