On 2 October, the City University of Macau held the national flag raising ceremony of the new academic year at its Taipa campus. Led by Rector Zhang Shuguang, all school leaders, Deans, department heads and representatives of school teams attended the ceremony. More than 2,000 teachers and students witnessed the solemn moment.
After the ceremony, University leaders commended and encouraged flag raising team members and took photos with student representatives, teacher representatives and the flag raising team to capture the precious moment.
“Double Celebrations” Series of Activities of CityU
The flag raising ceremony kicked start a series of activities celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 20th Anniversary of the Reunification of Macao. This year, the University will held a wide range of academic and student activities to showcase the vigor and vitality of “CityU people” and to enhance students’ understanding of the rapids development gained after the founding of the nation and the reunification of Macao.
