The latest wave of the COVID-19 outbreak has been ongoing for two weeks. A series of six days, totalling three nucleic acid testing programmes (NAT) for the whole Macao population, has been kicked off since yesterday to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus in the community. Members from all sectors took prompt action to support the testing programme, including staff and students of the City University of Macau (CityU). Despite the hot weather, CityU’s volunteers joined in a force to support the mobile NAT station at the Riviera Macau terminal on Rua do Almirante Sérgio, helping the public, children and seniors to conduct their tests.
The two-day NAT programmes will take place respectively on the 4th, 6th, and 8th of July. Stations for the general public will start from 9 am to 6 pm on the following day, while the caring stations will open three hours earlier. The government advises the public to arrive at the NAT station by their appointment time. We would like to remind you to take vigorous measures to protect your health, pay attention to personal hygiene, and clean and disinfect your hands frequently.

Some COVID-19 preventive tips:
Strong calls on the public to wear KN95 masks and take personal protective measures
In view that transmission in the community has occurred, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre states that, the Government has distributed KN95 masks, which can effectively prevent COVID-19, to all residents in Macao.
The Centre also strongly calls on members of the public to adopt personal protective measures: except for eating and drinking, wear a KN95 mask at all times while going out or at workplaces. Besides, residents should have meals separately as much as possible or have meals in a space separated by a partition in order to avoid infection.
