On September 20, series of activities for welcoming New Students, and Celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day of CityU were held in T Building Podium Garden. School leaders, teachers, students gathered together to celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival, and the National Day! Rector Shu Guang Zhang, Academic Registrar Sean Li, Secretary General Robert Chan of the Council, Director Wicky So of Administrative Division, Executive Dean Chng of the Faculty of Finance, Associate Dean Khong Yueng Wah, Director Chao Peng of Macau 'One Belt, One Road' Research Center, (Acting) Director Chao Chan Chong of Student Affairs Office, President Li Jiaqian and Director General Wang Kun of the Students' Association attended the event.

The Guzheng performance "Fragrance of Jasmin" brought by Li Baiyang from the Han Chinese Clothing Club of the Students' Association kicked off the event.

Rector Zhang expressed sincere holiday wishes to the students, concerned about the study and daily life of new students, and participated in the booth game with the students.
There must be a hot dance on every festival! The "So Hot" performed by the CityU Dancers brought the event to the climax! Check Was band and the students of the Music Club performed pop songs, and some fresh students volunteered to sing! At the event, Acting Director Chao presented the award to the 2018 City Hunter Award winning team.
The various kinds of booth games, lantern riddles and lottery draw were full of fun, which were spoken highly by the students. The autumn is cooler in the celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival! The nation is stronger in the celebration of the National Day!
As the first large-scale get-together gala since the commencement of the school year, it not only inherited the traditional festive culture and carried forward the spirit of "Love for China and Macao", but also brought teachers and students closer, promoted the communication between teachers and students, and made them feel the care and warmth of CityU.
