It’s time to return to Campus! We urge CityUers to follow anti-epidemic measures implemented on-site
As winter turns to spring, it is time for a fresh beginning. We welcome all students to return to the campus after the Lunar New Year holidays. Let us continue the semester!
In order to ensure a clean, tidy, safe and warm campus environment for the students, the University follows the anti-epidemic measures and guidance released by the Macao SAR Government to rigorously implement the epidemic control measures at the campus.
According to the guidelines of the SAR Government, people who have recently travelled outside Guangdong Province or to Shenzhen city should take another nucleic acid test between 4 and 7 days after their last test (including the test taken when entering Macao). The test result will be considered valid under the test taken at your own expense or free of charge.

According to the “Guidelines on COVID-19 Vaccination and Nucleic Acid Testing for Staff” released by the DSEDJ, starting from 21 February, all faculty members, college students, school teachers and staff must present proof of completing 2 doses of the primary series of COVID-19 vaccine 14 days ago, when entering the campus. Those who were not fully vaccinated 14 days ago (receiving 2 doses of mRNA vaccines or Inactivated vaccines in the primary series) need to take nucleic acid test every 7 days. In addition, teaching staff and college students who hold a "Physician Evaluation Certificate of Unsuitability for Novel Coronavirus Vaccination" issued by the Health Bureau can make an appointment for a free nucleic acid testing service through the following link of the Health Bureau. Click here for more details of the Guidelines.
The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre highlighted that the omicron variant of COVID-19 across the globe at the current stage, most inflected cases are asymptomatic and mild. Hence, anyone with symptoms such as fever, headache, fatigue, dry cough, sore throat, stuffy nose, runny nose, loss of taste or sense of smell should seek medical advice and take nucleic acid tests as soon as possible. People should pay attention to their health conditions, especially those who develop symptoms around the same time with family members, colleagues, classmates, and friends, or after travelling or with physical contact with visitors from abroad.
The University works closely with the health authorities on the epidemiological investigative work to improve the effectiveness of epidemic prevention. To tighten controls of the potential risk of virus transmission on the campus, teaching staff and students should scan the “Venue Code” for itinerary record. Besides, according to the guidelines released by the Health Bureau, please wear a mask on campus either when working or attending classes.
It's time to return to the campus after the break. The University urges all teachers and students to follow the COVID-19 prevention measures. Here are some advice:
- Avoid crowd gathering and reduce mobility.
- Teachers and students who left Macao should stay tuned to the epidemic control measures implemented by the local health authorities and the SAR Government, and undergo strict medical observation upon arrival in Macao.
- Teachers and students who are eligible to receive the vaccination should take it as soon as possible.
- Maintain good health self-management and seek medical consultation once feeling unwell.
