A Midterm report on the Study of the Cognition, Attitude and Willingness on Teacher Professional Development Evaluation of Elementary and Secondary Teachers in Macau

During City University of Macau held 2018 City University of Macau Frontier of Education Conference and Graduate Education of Education College Conference on January 20th 2018, Institute of Macau Education Development reported a research, The Study of the Cognition, Attitude and Willingness on Teacher Professional Development Evaluation of Elementary and Secondary Teachers in Macau, which research fund was sponsored by Macao Foundation. Dr. Shu-Ying Lee and Dr. Sung-Yi Lee were the presiders of the conference. It mainly reported: 1. The situation of elementary and secondary teachers’ professional development. 2.The relevant content of teacher professional evaluation. 3. The cognition of teacher professional development evaluation (includes evaluation purpose, evaluation way, evaluation procedure and evaluation project etc.). 4. The attitude of teacher professional development evaluation (includes evaluation method, evaluation category, evaluation standard and evaluation spirit etc.). 5. The relevant levels of teachers participating willingness in teacher professional development evaluation. 
 
The research will use the random sampling, verify the research hypothesis, make the questionnaires and choose the suit statistical methods to analyze it, such as reliability analysis, validity analysis, critical ratio, Cronbach’s alpha, t-test, one-way MANOVA, Scheffe’s method Post hoc Comparison, the Pearson’s correlation and multiple stepwise regression analysis and so on. The whole research will complete before the end of July in 2018.
