As a non-profit private university, CityU aims to foster four areas of development in meeting the needs of the Macao SAR: teaching, research, social service and student fostering. In recent years, CityU has continued to strengthen its faculty and curriculum development, deepen scientific research and social service programs, maintain its effort at becoming an educational institution offering excellent teaching quality, and promote the distinctive academic characteristics of an outstanding university. CityU will further strive to realize the vision of the "Higher Education Act" and meet the future developmental needs of the Macao SAR, actively optimizing its teaching facilities and environment, improving its teaching and management efficiency, and creating more quality-assured professional courses in the promotion of higher education in Macao.
