The award-winning work, “Integrated Desktop Ornament of Aroma Diffuser and Wind Chime”, focuses on the high-pressure and anxious lifestyle of people today. Addressing the common problem in the market where desktop ornaments prioritize appearance over user experience, the design innovatively combines aromatherapy with a wind chime. Through the dual sensory experience of smell and hearing, it helps soothe emotions and promote physical and mental healing, giving a small desktop object a combination of form, function, and humanistic design. The design project was supervised by Assistant Professor He Honghong from the Faculty of Innovation and Design. Throughout the development process, Zhong refined the shape, structure, and materials to achieve the best balance between user experience and visual aesthetics.
