City University of Macau (CityU) has been actively responding to call for the 15th National Games of People’s Republic of China. Nearly 800 faculty and student volunteers – organized by the Student Affairs Office (SAO) – provided dedicated and comprehensive support for four events, including 5-a-side basketball, women’s adult volleyball, karate, and the men’s individual road cycling. Their services cover more than ten categories, such as media reception, competition services, information technology, and protocol volunteers. With a strong sense of responsibility and professional service standards, they have played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth organization of the event, providing staunch support from CityU to the National Games.

As the competition was drawing to a close, a group of officials visited the basketball and volleyball venues to extend warm greetings to the student volunteers still on duty and inspected the working environments and role arrangements. During the National Games, CityU volunteers dedicated themselves to their roles. Most of the students worked for nearly ten days without a break, as they greatly valued this opportunity. Our students demonstrated remarkable professionalism and dedication across various positions:

· The anti-doping team worked prolong hours, rigorously implementing athlete escort procedures.
· The competition assistant team ensured smooth operational flow by promptly replenishing supplies for athletes.
· The information technology team meticulously monitored timing, scoring, and audio-visual system to ensure accurate data transmission.
· The guest reception team welcomed every guest with warm smiles and patience, living out Macao’s spirit of hospitality.

Throughout the entire service period, the students devoted themselves wholeheartedly despite the hard work and heavy responsibilities. Their actions truly demonstrated our educational philosophy of “learning through service, growing through practice”.
