The finals of the “1+4 Industry Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for Macao University Students” were successfully held at the Macau Youth Development Service Centre. Three students from the Faculty of Finance (FOF) at City University of Macau (CityU) – Mo Zhixin, Wang Zi and Fang Wei – under the guidance of Assistant Professor Liu Lu, stood out and won the Silver Lotus Award with their excellent project – “Oasis Finance,” an integrated service platform for green finance and fintech.

The “Oasis Finance” was an integrated service platform for green finance and fintech dedicated to solving the pain points in green bond issuance in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, such as the lack of unified green information disclosure standards to avoid the risks of “greenwashing.” Its vision was to guide the flow of funds to environmentally friendly, low-carbon, and sustainable investment areas, use fintech to promote regional green transformation and sustainable development, while innovating the modern financial ecology and providing market participants and investors with transparent and efficient finance services as well as contributing to the diversified development of Macao’s financial market.

This competition was hosted by the Macau Youth Entrepreneur Venture Association. It aimed to inspire the innovative spirit and entrepreneurial enthusiasm of Macao university students, encourage them to excel their creativity and applied knowledge, unleash youth power, and contribute wisdom to the diversified development of Macao’s “1+4” industry. Since the competition was launched in June, it has received enthusiastic response from college students from various universities in Macao. After various selections in the preliminary and semi-finals, 25 projects finally stood out and entered the finals.
