The 19th Shenzhen Creative December, jointly organized by the Publicity Department of Shenzhen Municipal Committee, the Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau, the Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the Shenzhen Innovation & Creative Design Development Office, was recently held. Among an array of events, the ‘Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Chinese and Foreign University Students Exhibition and Performance of Traditional Culture and Art,’ organized by Shenzhen University, received widespread attention. The City University of Macau Art Troupe was invited to participate in this performance and was awarded the second prize.

The exhibition brought together talented Chinese and international university students from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, showcasing a diverse and spectacular art feast. The Ethnic Music Ensemble of the CityU’s Art Troupe, consisting of students Zhang Shilin and Zhou Haina, together with young musician Kuang Xialin, presented a melodious guzheng trio performance titled Tear of Glaze. Their outstanding performance not only demonstrated the high artistic accomplishment of the Art Troupe but also further promoted cultural exchange in the Greater Bay Area.

In addition, the participating students also showcased traditional classical instrument performances such as silk and bamboo ensemble and Chinese traditional Peking Opera during the show. The angelic voices of the choir and the dynamic performances of the international student dance troupe elevated the atmosphere, expressing their love for the Greater Bay Area in their own unique ways.
