International learning pathway: CityU, Swiss Education Group launch two joint programs in hotel management
To promote the international development of higher education and cultivate hotel management professionals with a global vision, City University of Macau (CityU) proudly announced its collaboration with the Swiss Education Group (SEG) and its affiliated institutions, Swiss Hotel Management School (SHMS) and César Ritz Colleges Switzerland (CRCS), in launching the “4+1” bachelor’s-master’s degree program and the “1+1” dual master’s degree program, providing an innovative learning platform for CityU’s students who are aspiring to excel in hotel management.
The predecessor of Swiss Hotel Management School was a five-star palace hotel with a history of over a hundred years and is hailed as “the most beautiful campus in the world.” The institution continues to embrace the traditional teaching model while integrating technology to provide students with the best and advanced learning experience. The campus facilities fully support its teaching curriculum, offering luxurious banquet halls and large theaters for students to plan and organize large-scale activities. Students can put what they have learned into practice in the well-equipped facilities. Its Hospitality and Leisure Management discipline has ranked second in the QS World University Rankings.
César Ritz Colleges Switzerland inherits the teaching philosophy of Mr. César Ritz, the “father of the hotel industry,” and provides students from all over the world with professional knowledge in hotel management, practical training, as well as career advice that will benefit them for a lifetime. Thanks to its high-quality education, CRCS has achieved the Swiss Federal Accreditation recognized by the Swiss Accreditation Council. Its Hospitality and Leisure Management discipline ranks third in the world in the QS World University Rankings.
After jointly launching the “4+1 Master’s Degree Program Direct-Entry” project with the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), CityU has once again launched joint programs with international higher education institutions, building global learning platforms in different fields and offering opportunities for further education overseas.
“4+1” Bachelor’s-Master’s Degree Program

Application Qualifications:
- GPA of 2.5 or above. For students studying in the Chinese-medium program, an IELTS score of 6.0 or a TOEFL score of 79 or above is required (students in the English-medium program are exempt from taking the IELTS).
- Obtain the bachelor’s degree certificate and graduation certificate from the City University of Macau on schedule.
“1+1” Dual Master’s Degree Program

Application Qualifications:
Successfully complete the first year of the master’s program at the City University of Macau. An IELTS score of 6.0 or a TOEFL score of 79 or above is required.
