Project Leader, and Executive Associate Dean of CityU’s Faculty of Innovation and Design Po-Hsun Wang explained that “Revisiting Splendor: ‘Macao Imagery’ Creative Achievement Exhibition”, takes the "Mountain-Sea-City" as core theme, exploring natural spaces, cultural memory, and urban life through a creative lens. It bridges traditional culture with contemporary context to pursue new artistic expressions, where the works transform the city into visual narratives with aesthetic tension and cultural resonance.

Wang Eryi, dean of Huaqiao University’s College of Fine Arts and Chairman of Quanzhou Artists Association, reflected that participation in this project was both an artistic endeavor and a process of rediscovering Macao’s cultural spirit. To him, "revisiting" transcends literal representation of landscapes but it balances historical memory with modern urban rhythms, using color and form to reveal the city’s intrinsic character. The showcase in Quanzhou, he added, facilitates cross-regional cultural dialogue beyond mere display of the outcomes.
