Prof. Gu Z, a famous American scholar from Harrah Hotel College, UNLV, recently visited the City University of Macau and gave lectures to PhD candidates of International Tourism and Management program. Prof. Gu has been engaged in tourism and exhibition research for many years and has published most of his work.
Prof. Gu gave lectures in Case Study of Tourism Enterprises to PhD candidates of International Tourism and Management program 2013. He introduced financial ratio analysis of cases of renowned international enterprises like the Marriot Hotel, McDonald’s and Melco Crown, analyzed operation and management of the enterprises and offered targeted and strategic suggestions.
The FITM CityU invited Prof. Gu to be a doctoral supervisor for the International Tourism and Management program in view of his influence and academic achievements in the field of Hotel and Tourism Education.
The PhD candidates were impressed by the brilliant lecture as well as Prof. Gu’s careful and precise research attitude and academic thinking. They all appreciated the lecture since it helped to broaden their horizons and promote their research and analysis ability on Tourism Enterprises Management.
