Recently, Rector Shu Guang Zhang and other delegates of CityU visited Hefei University of Technology and were warmly welcomed by Party Secretary Yu Qijun and President Liang Liang of Hefei University of Technology.
The delegation of CityU visited the Xuancheng Campus and the headquarters of Hefei University of Technology and visited Mr. Yang Shanlin, an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering. During the symposium, both sides had in-depth discussion on the joint construction of a national key laboratory and the curriculum plan of new engineering disciplines, as well as cooperation in running schools, student exchange, double employment of teachers and mutual visits.

Subsequently, Rector Shu Guang Zhang and President Liang Liang signed the "Framework Agreement for Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation" on behalf of the two universities. Leaders of the two universities hoped to take this opportunity to further deepen the implementation of specific cooperation projects between them and jointly promote cooperation in education and technology with the help of the development strategies such as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the cooperation platform between Macao and Portuguese-speaking countries and the Belt and Road initiative.
Other participants in the symposium from Hefei University of Technology included: Deputy Party Secretary Chen Gang, Vice President Chen Haihong, Chief Accountant Yan Ping, Director Wang Feng of the School Affairs Department, Division Chief Chen Yiqing of the Office of Academic Affairs, Head Zheng Lei of the Scientific Research Faculty, Division Chief Tan Jieqing of the International Affairs Department, and Director Huang Changxi of the Office of Alumni Association.
