The City U Dragon Boat Team Has a Satisfactory Performance in the Warm Up Races 2016

The dragon boat race was held in Stanley beach on May 14 by Stanley Residents Association. The university Dragon Boat Team participated in the race and obtained a great achievement. There were about 182 teams from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, England and so on took part in this race. Undergoing the competition for the entire day, our teammates attained the ‘Small Boat Races-mixed Division Sliver Cup’ and ‘Small Boat Races-men's Division Plate’.

“Since it is the first time we do it in the sea, many teammates could not adapt the environment such because of the wind and the sea wave. Our teammates were able to calm themselves and to finish the race with their good psychological quality. Finally, we won the champion. I am proud of them.” The coach told the reporter.

This was the first time our university team won a champion in dragon boat race. The teammates are encouraged and have more confident to prepare for the race of Macau international dragon boat festival. At the same time, Vice Rector Kong Fanqing and Director Zhou from Student Affairs Office are satisfied with the achievement and decided to hold a celebration after the Macau International Dragon Boat Festival. They hope that the teammates can attain a great performance again in the race.
