Starting today, City University of Macau will be arranging graduation photo taking services for the Class of 2023 for two consecutive days, capturing the beautiful moments of their graduation. CityU graduates have also prepared some heartfelt messages to express their feelings at this moment. Let’s see what they have to say!
Tina Yang Jingyan, a bachelor’s degree graduate of the Faculty of Business, said, “During my four years at CityU, I have met many outstanding people. The rigorous academic attitude of my professors has motivated me to continue improving my academic abilities for a higher standard. My classmates have taught me self-discipline, prudence, humility, and confidence. I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to my family and friends for their encouraging support that has made me who I am today. Graduation is not an end, but a new beginning, a turning point for us to pursue our dreams further. Therefore, I wish all fellow students a great success in their future endeavors!”

Xing Lumin, a Ph.D. graduate of the Faculty of Data Science, said, “Looking back on my three-year doctoral journey, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to CityU for leading me into the world of data science and guiding me to explore the infinite mysteries of data governance, smart healthcare, and intelligent transportation. I am grateful to every professor for their wisdom and patience, which have enabled me to grow from a student to a researcher. I am also thankful to my classmates for their companionship and encouragement, which have made me feel secured in the great ocean of knowledge. Under the nurturing of CityU, I have had the opportunity to turn my dreams into reality. I will continue to contribute to the progress of society and humanities with the spirit of science and the enthusiasm of practice. Fellow graduates, I wish that we can all soar higher and go further on our future paths.”

Weng Yiru, a master’s degree graduate of the Faculty of Law, said, “Through new experiences, we move forward, and each day brings new growth. At this moment last year, the weather was clear, and we were about to embark on a new year of student life. This year, the sky is still clear, and the waves are still gentle, but we are facing our graduation. We will leave the place where we have lived for the past two years and say goodbye to our classmates and professors. It seems like we are not ready, yet it feels like we have been preparing for this moment all along. Each farewell brings new growth, and parting ways is a common occurrence in life. I would like to share this quote with myself and everyone, ‘The past is but a prologue, the future is as boundless as the sea, the best is yet to come.’”
