The Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, a global organization established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), recently held the North Asia Final of CGMA Global Business Challenge 2023 at City University of Macau (CityU). Four students, Wang Yuhan, Shao Wenjing, Liu Wenxi, and Liu Xingyi, from CityU's Faculty of Business, guided by Associate Dean Tian Yihui, Associate Prof. Fong Kwong Yee, Assistant Prof. Farzad Sabetzadeh, Assistant Prof. Huang Yicong, Assistant Prof. Dong Bowen, and Lecturer Mona Xu Mo, were named finalists among 11 teams and placed second runner-up for their innovative business proposal. During his speech, Rector Jun Liu highlighted that the challenge presented a significant opportunity for students to apply theories into real-world practices and nurture their business leadership potential. He expressed his hope that all participants could acquire valuable hands-on experience through the challenge.
