Academic Forum of the 150th Anniversary of the Birth of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen was Co-organized by CityU

On July 7^th, Academic Forum of the 150th Anniversary of the Birth of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen was held in Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai. This academic forum was organized by Macau Talents Association and Macau Times. Zhongshan Social Sciences Association, City University of Macau etc. co-organized it.

Prof. Li Jiazeng, Executive Director of RCMSED attended the academic forum and made a speech. He said that Three Principles of the People, core contents of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen thought system, had close links to Macau. Because Macau was a multicultural city, Dr. Sun Yat-Sen began to learn western advanced ideology here. It had an effect on his revolutionary road. After inheriting outstanding traditional culture and learning from western advanced ideology, he put forward Three Principles of the People. In a word, inheriting, learning and innovating were cultural dynamic mechanism of the principles.

Rooted in Macau and Serve the Region is CityU’s mission. CityU co-organized the academic forum actively with the hope that more people could understand the stories between Dr. Sun Yat-Sen and Macau and carry forward the spirit of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen. In the meanwhile, CityU wanted to make positive contribution to historical research and cultural development of Macau.
